My verdict
I check prices, not products — this is about whether the current price is real, not a review of photo quality. And it holds up: sitting at its lowest tracked price, substantially below its real recent average — not a struck-through list price. This bundle includes film for 16 photos in the box, which matters since Polaroid's own film is the real ongoing cost of owning an instant camera, not the camera itself. The tradeoff: instant film isn't cheap per shot over time, and the Go's tiny format produces small, low-resolution prints by design — this is a novelty and gifting camera, not a substitute for a real camera's image quality.
Buy it if
- Gifting — this is a genuinely popular gift-category item, and it comes with film already included so it's usable immediately
- Casual, fun photo-taking at parties or events where a small tangible print matters more than image quality
- Anyone specifically wanting Polaroid's smallest, most portable instant camera format
Skip it if
- You want sharp, high-resolution prints — the Go's tiny format trades quality for size by design
- You're not prepared for ongoing film costs — instant film is the real long-term expense, not the camera itself
- You already own a different instant camera with a compatible film ecosystem — switching formats means starting a new film supply chain
