Where to buy
I don’t reprint Amazon’s price here — Amazon shows you the live one, which means the number you see is always current rather than whatever I last wrote down.

My verdict
I check prices, not products — this confirms the number is real, not whether the laptop sleeve protects well or the straps hold up to daily carry. And it holds up: the price sat completely flat for the full three months I can see before this drop, not a stale list price bumped up right before a fake sale, and today's price is a clean, genuine new low. This is a genuine The North Face Recon backpack, not an off-brand laptop bag marked up to look like the real thing. The tradeoff: this is a one-size, everyday-carry pack — not a technical hiking or travel backpack, so match it to daily commuting and school use rather than serious outdoor trips.
Buy it if

Skip it if
- You need a technical hiking or travel backpack — this is built for everyday commuting and school use
