Garmin
The lowest I've tracked in 229 days Record low
Checked against 229 days of camelcamelcamel price history on Aug 23, 2026, 3:00 PM ET. The comparison is a real recent selling price, not a struck-through list price.
Where to buy
I don’t reprint Amazon’s price here — Amazon shows you the live one, which means the number you see is always current rather than whatever I last wrote down.

My verdict
I check prices, not products — this confirms the number is real, not whether the tracker holds up over a season of hunting or fieldwork. And it holds up: this is at its all-time low against real history, not a stale list price, and meaningfully under its typical recent selling range. This is genuinely premium GPS/satellite hardware built around Garmin's inReach network, not a budget pet tracker, so the price drop is on real gear rather than a device that was always cheap dressed up as a discount. The tradeoff: inReach features like two-way messaging and SOS require an active satellite subscription plan sold separately, so factor that ongoing cost into the real total price before buying.
Buy it if
- Hunters and outdoorspeople who need real satellite-based tracking for dogs in areas without cell coverage
- Buyers who want genuine Garmin inReach hardware rather than a cellular-only pet tracker with spotty range
- Anyone replacing an aging or lost handheld who doesn't want to pay full price again
Skip it if
- You only need basic tracking in areas with reliable cell service — a cheaper cellular-only tracker may suit you better
- You're not prepared to pay for an ongoing satellite subscription plan, which this device requires for messaging and SOS features
- You need a collar-only solution rather than a full handheld unit — this is a handheld device, not just a collar attachment
