Where to buy
I don’t reprint Amazon’s price here — Amazon shows you the live one, which means the number you see is always current rather than whatever I last wrote down.

My verdict
I check prices, not products — this confirms the number is real, not whether RTX 4050 performance holds up in the games you actually play. And it holds up: this is at its all-time low against real history, not a stale list price, and meaningfully under where it's actually been sitting for months. This is a genuine current-generation gaming laptop with real RTX-class graphics, a 120Hz WQXGA display, and DDR5 memory — not a previous-generation part rebadged and marked up, so the drop is on real hardware. The tradeoff: 512GB of storage is on the smaller side for a gaming laptop once game install sizes are factored in, so budget for expandable or external storage if you play multiple large titles.
Buy it if
- Gamers who want a genuine current-generation RTX laptop with a high-refresh WQXGA display
- Buyers who want real DDR5 memory and a modern Intel Core processor rather than older rebadged hardware
- Anyone replacing an aging gaming laptop who doesn't want to pay full price for current-gen specs
Skip it if
- You play multiple large modern titles and need more than 512GB of storage — factor in expandable or external storage
- You need the absolute top-tier GPU — the RTX 4050 is a capable mid-range chip, not a flagship-tier card
- You want the lightest, most portable laptop available — a 16-inch gaming laptop prioritizes performance over portability
